Medway, or the Medway Plantation, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. The land was first settled by the Dutch in 1686, and a dwelling has existed on the site in various forms since that time. It is believed to be a private property and not open to the public.
It is reputedly haunted by a number of ghosts, including its first resident, Jan Van Arrsen. Another apparition is that of a young woman. Aubible phenomena include the rustling of what is claimed to be a gown.
